Volkswagen is a fusion between Steven and Ford, born from Steven comforting Ford after a nightmare or something probably. Due to Ford's trauma related to being controlled and Steven's own trauma clashing, they started as a very unstable fusion prone to meltdowns and tantrums. Now that they're used to it they function well together, with some Disney-princess-like drama in the mix getting him to rant to birds about his day in his sparetime.

• Unlike most other fusions, a lot of the time you can distinctly tell who is more in control of the fusion. If Steven is more at the forefront, they won't use their extra finger or do it as naturally since he's used to having five. (Example)
• Volkswagen may talk to themselves sometimes, Steven and Ford conversing within the fusion. As they got more used to being a singular entity they've since began to do this more sparsely.

• Volkswagen sometimes touches their hands when Steven and Ford are talking to each other, left-handed interactions usually represent Ford while right-handed ones represent Steven. (They may dig their left hand's nails into their right during a conflict between their two parts, for example. A messy visual example of Steven comforting Ford through this is here.)
• Volkswagen has resting bitch face about a quarter of the time, derived from Ford, and otherwise his face defaults to a smile. Obviously from Steven.

• Volkswagen is a platonic fusion! No romance here :]
• I'm pretty sure my friend who suggested Volkswagen as his name was joking.
• Pronouns vary between singular and plural ones, as Volkswagen flip-flops between seeing himself as a single person (fusion) or as two people piloting one body.
• Volkswagen has a preference for frequently alternating pronouns, but won't complain if someone just sticks to referring to him with one. I personally try to switch every few sentences/paragraphs when talking/writing about them unless scenes call for something specific.
• Most violent tendencies in Volkswagen are derived from Ford and exacerbated by Steven. (What with Pink Steven and all that)
• With Steven and Ford's trauma combined, if Volkswagen sleeps they're prone to nightmares about both Bill and the abuse Pink endured from the diamonds. If woken up suddenly from these nightmares, they can be violent, but they usually unfuse to a bitey (but manageable) Ford and a terrified (but docile) Steven.
• Volkswagen enjoys poetry, while neither Ford nor Steven have much interest in it.
• Volkswagen normally wields a gun, specifically the blaster Ford likes to keep on him.
• Despite me mentioning violent tendencies in Volkswagen, he's usually far from it. In fact, he can be a total cuddlebug.
• They can turn their glasses into sunglasses at will, much like Garnet can spawn her visor.
• Volkswagen collects pins, they're all stored on the inside of their jacket.
• Volkswagen dances similarly to Mei from Turning Red.
